Puna is the name of the district on the Big Island of Hawaii where our noni farms are located. It is also the name we called our paternal grandmother. Puna died in 1986 at the age of 84. She was a little girl during the final years of the Hawaiian monarchy, and remembers seeing the royal family ride on horseback through downtown Honolulu. Puna spoke fluent Hawaiian and taught the Titcomb children everything they know about Hawaiian culture and values. She also taught us the proper way to make noni juice, a simple process which has been passed down through generations of ancient Hawaiian healers. Noni capsules are great for people who travel or who simply can't tolerate the taste of the juice. Our capsules are made from whole ripened Noni fruit that has been dried by a patented dehydration process that removes only the moisture while retaining all of the health benefits of pure Noni juice. Indeed, 2 capsules may be dissolved in 1 ounce of water to make pure reconstituted Noni juice. While the taste of Noni juice has never been described as good, most people will get used to the taste, and even begin to like it...just a little.
Our 100% pure Hawaiian Noni juice is made from the fruit grown in the volcanic enriched soil of Puna on the Big Island of Hawaii. We use the whole fruit only, no bark or leaves. After harvesting, the fresh fruit is washed, then packed into sterile tanks to undergo an aging or fermentation process for 2 months. After aging the fruit is cold-pressed and the juice drained from the tanks. It is immediately pasteurized and bottled in a facility inspected by the Hawaii Dept of Health. The leftover pulp is returned to field as compost or fertilizer or else discarded. It is not left in the aging tank, or freeze-dried into a powder to be sold as capsules to an unsuspecting public.
